Politically Conscious Racial Epiphets

So someone called me a chink today. This instigated some reflection.

Nationally speaking, I'm not a chink. I'm a Tink (Taiwan). To avoid such conspicuous misnomers from being lashed out again, I've decided to educate the racist mass with more appropriate racial epiphets.

I have formed a list:

Singaporean Chinese - Sink
Thai Chinese - Think
Taiwanese Chinese - Tink
Macau Chinese - Mink
Japanese Chinese - Jink
Korean Chinese - Kink

and so on and so forth.

update

I haven't had a substantive post/ legitimate update for a while. So folks, to assuage the certain guilt that I feel for not doing so, here is a real update.

- I'm having my first taste of visa nightmare tonight; why do these Australians make it so complicated to get a visa? Seriously, it's not encouraging cash inflow via tourism in any ways. I really don't get the logic behind making the visa application process so long and painful. I mean, how harmful are Canadians, really? How many terrorist and other malignant types have come out of gun-lovin', war-fightin, and all in all big meany Canada... seriously folks.

- Why exactly am I applying for a visa? well, cus I've quite school for a term, and will be off to Australia and mysterycountry to do missions for 6 months. The prospect of going to YWAM excites me more than anything in my recent life.

- And why exactly am I going to YWAM? Well, I need to find myself and realign my perspectives. I don't think I'm half the Christian man I used to be (on a side note, I am about 15lbs more than the physical man I used to be...late night chicken wings at QP). I've turned bitter and lost focus. I stopped thinking about the things and started thinking too much about the things of this world...

- currently in Monterey, CA. It's quite beautiful here, calm and peaceful. It reminds me of Taitung, but more refined. Far more refined.  And cultured.

- I wouldn't mind living in San Jose in the future. It's fast becoming one of my favorite cities.

- If you want to support me with money or prayer... Yay. Here's a virtual hug. And some props.

- Gonna be in Taiwan in around 10 days

And that is all for tonight, folks.

valuable

I think, over the past year or so, I've regressed from a person who aspires to become important to society, to a person who aspires to become important in society.

man with social status* + pretty woman w/out other redeeming qualities = happy asian parents

woman with social status + handsome man w/out other redeeming qualities = very dissatisfied asian parents.
